Jonathan David & Melissa Helser ‘Beautiful Surrender’

Worship leaders/songwriters Jonathan David & Melissa Helser’s eighth album, Beautiful Surrender, is their first release with Bethel Music. Together, the husband and wife duo share their faith in poetic harmony as they bring the Gospel to life through music.

The album’s title track, “Beautiful Surrender”, opens the collection with a reminder of our true potential in Christ when we make the choice to give our lives over to Him.

“Find Me” is a prayer of longing to be completely consumed by God’s love & grace so that the only thing God sees when He looks at us is someone whose heart and life are fully devoted to Him.

“Strength” praises the Lord for His unchanging love & the work He does in our lives while recognizing that He is the ultimate source of our strength.

“So Much Grace” paints a picture of the astonishing gift of grace given to us and the everlasting love that God has for us even when we are so undeserving of it.

“Catch The Wind” is reminiscent of the words found in Isaiah 40:31. That our faith gives us wings to soar as eagles and God promises to never leave us, enabling us to rise above the situations in life that try to drag us down.

“No Longer Slaves” tells of the freedom we have in Jesus from sin & fear. When we choose to believe in Him, we have the assurance of forgiveness and peace in knowing that we are loved.

The overall feel of Beautiful Surrender is one of reflective and worshipful sentiments with heartfelt lyrics and soothing melodies. The message of praise & the love found in a relationship with our Savior weave together throughout the entire album making for a peaceful listening experience.
