Anne Wilson Writes Her Next Chapter With God Story EP, Out Aug. 1

Wilson joins Morgan Wallen’s stadium tour for a two-weekend run beginning this Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson continues to share her message of hope and healing with the announcement of her new four-song EP, God Story, arriving Friday, Aug. 1. Named after her soaring single “God Story,” the project will be released just in time for Wilson’s second weekend on the road opening stadiums for Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour in Santa Clara, Calif.

PRE-SAVE: GOD STORY EP

“I’ve been pouring my heart into these songs over the last year – writing, dreaming and recording in the studio,” shares Wilson. “I’m so excited to finally start sharing this new chapter of music. God Story is full of the stories God’s been writing in my life, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

God Story is Wilson’s first project release since her critically acclaimed sophomore album REBEL, which earned praise from Billboard for “fully fusing the two genres” and was hailed by People as “one of contemporary music’s freshest new voices.” The record became a defining moment in Wilson’s burgeoning career, blending country and Christian influences with a bold, authentic voice that resonated with fans across both genres. Now, with God Story, Wilson builds on that foundation – weaving together country grit with Christian conviction to deliver songs that are both authentically her and universally uplifting.

Wilson recently announced that she will return to her home state of Kentucky for a special benefit concert at Corbin Arena in Corbin, Ky. on August 11, raising funds for families and communities impacted by the deadly tornado that struck Eastern Kentucky this May. All proceeds from the show will benefit tornado recovery efforts in the region, supporting both The Sheppard Family Foundation and the Appalachian Tornado Relief Fund. Tickets for the benefit show are on sale now at annewilsonofficial.com. The one-night-only event will also be livestreamed on VEEPS, with tickets available for purchase here. All proceeds from the livestream will benefit tornado relief efforts.

ABOUT ANNE WILSON:

One of Nashville’s most inspiring young trailblazers, Anne Wilson is a revolution in modern music. The Lexington, Ky. native, known for her transcendent vocal and down-to-earth storytelling, recently released REBEL, fusing the heart of Contemporary Christian Music with the sound of country. A bold musical statement with an even bolder message of faith, REBEL features her hopeful, healing debut country single “Rain In The Rearview” as well as chart-topping ballad “Strong,” which notched No. 1 at Christian radio and her follow-up Christian radio single “The Cross (with Chris Tomlin). The genre-bending album follows her GRAMMY-nominated 2022 debut My Jesus, with the title track becoming a PLATINUM-certified No. 1 hit on Billboards Christian Airplay chart. Since then, Wilson has tallied over one billion global streams, made her Grand Ole Opry debut and wrapped her entirely sold-out headlining My Jesus Tour and recent 27-stop The REBEL Tour in fall 2024. Already named a Spotify Hot Country Artist to Watch, one of CMT’s Next Women of Country, and a 2024 Opry NextStage Artist, she has made high-profile appearances on TODAY and ACM Honors, while earning her first-ever CMT Music Awards nomination, as well as a Billboard Music Award. Wilson will continue sharing her message of hope and healing on the road this summer, joining Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour and releasing her new EP God Story on Aug. 1. Unapologetically real, she brings purpose and conviction to every lyric — blending faith and country grit in a way that’s entirely her own.
