The Most Important Decision You Can Make In Your Life

It’s all about knowing Jesus. All the music, all the movies, and all of the books exist for one simple purpose…knowing Christ. All from different backgrounds and all with different struggles, these authors, artists, and producers were once where you are. They were looking for answers, looking for hope, and looking for love until their life was changed by the good news of Jesus Christ. We all have a problem: It doesn’t take a social analyst to tell us that our world has problems. It’s in the headlines, it’s in the news, and even though we don’t like to admit it, it’s in us.

The Bible tells us:

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

There is none righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:10

There is no one who seeks after God.” Romans 3:11

All of us like sheep have gone astray; each of us has turned to his own way” – Isaiah 53:6

The problem is that our sin has separated us from the God who loves us and created us to know Him. Instead of believing what God has said, mankind has chosen our own way and we have turned away from Him. Let’s face it, all of the problems we face can be traced to a man at some point-in-time choosing to not believe God. Whether the man is you and me, our parents, or Adam, it’s good to know that sickness and struggles were not included into God’s original creation. Sin is to blame.

Jesus Resolved our problem:

We can’t solve this one. We have caused the problem and while we would like for God to just forget about it, His justice will not allow it. The Bible teaches that eternal death and ultimate separation from God is the consequence of our sin:

For the wages of sin is death” – Romans 6:23

The great news is that while God is faithful in His justice, He is also gracious in His love. Instead of giving us what we deserve, God showed His character in a way that satisfied His justice while also demonstrating His love. The Bible says:

While we were yet weak, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.  7 Rarely for a righteous man will one die. Yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die.   8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 6:5-8″For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

God sent His Son to take our punishment so that His Justice could be satisfied and forgiveness could be offered to us! Jesus took our eternal separation from our God and endured it on the cross. Not only did He die in our place, but He showed His power over death by resurrecting back to life! Death is something man has never escaped, but Jesus overcame it as he had promised and He now lives! We are guilty and we deserve life without God, but God is merciful and gracious to us. He did not leave us to ourselves, He gave us hope. Jesus is our Hope The work has been done, the price has been paid, and forgiveness has been offered so that we might be saved from our sins. The question we must answer is, “Will we turn from our own way and trust in Jesus?” The Bible leads us to this decision:

That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved,  10 for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be ashamed.” – Romans 10:9-11

Will you call upon Jesus?

Will you believe what His Word is promising you?

There is no use in trying to impress God with good works, church attendance, and non-profit donations. Apart from what Jesus offers we are hopeless and pretending. Jesus doesn’t ask you to commit more time to volunteering and social reformation, He commands that we give our hearts and all that we believe to Him. He is our Hope and our Solution.

Will you believe Him and give Him your heart?

Got Jesus?
