Matthew West Takes Home Book Impact Award For “My Story, Your Glory” At The K-LOVE Fan Awards

Co-written by West, Jon Reddick’s “No Fear” reaches No. 1, marking West’s 38th No. 1 as a songwriter and artist combined

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Five-time GRAMMY-nominated Christian artist and songwriter Matthew West took home the Book Impact Award for his seventh book, the 30-day devotional “My Story, Your Glory,” at the 2025 K-LOVE Fan Awards. West also captivated the audience as co-host of the evening and performed his Top 10 Christian radio hit “Unashamed.” The K-LOVE Fan Awards, which took place on Sunday, May 25 at the Grand Ole Opry, aired tonight (5/30) exclusively on TBN and TBN +.

“I was so honored to win the K-LOVE Book Impact award! I had to thank my mom for encouraging me years ago,” shares West. “God put it on her heart that one day I would be writing not just songs, but books to help encourage people in their faith. Here I am eight books and a K-LOVE award later being humbly reminded that God’s plan is best, and we should all listen to our moms!”

West took the stage with fellow Christian music artists Mac Powell, Jeremy Camp and Bart Millard to host the evening and lead fans through a night of worship and fun, keeping the crowd entertained from start to finish.

On May 9, West released “Growing Up & Growing Old,” an ode to his wife in celebration of 22 years of marriage. Written by West and AJ Pruis, the sentimental track shares the inspiring message that love conquers all in life. The song details their love story and the cherished memories they share together, marking his first release since his 13th studio album, Don’t Stop Praying. The album is full of inspiring and “equally unique message[s]” (Forbes). GRAMMY.com noted “the contemporary Christian stalwart’s latest body of work uplifts throughout its 12 tracks” while K-LOVE praised it as “a masterclass in storytelling…proving 12 times over why he continues to be one of the best songwriters of our time.”

West’s recognitions continue as his recent cut on Jon Reddick’s “No Fear” reached No. 1, marking West’s 38th No. 1 as a songwriter and artist combined. Next up, he will tour nationwide throughout the summer, notably performing at Carnegie Hall in New York on June 28.
