Anthony Evans & Chandler Moore

Victory Church, Lakeland, FL – August 26, 2025

When I first heard that Anthony Evans and Chandler Moore were coming together for a worship night in Lakeland, Florida, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I’ve attended many concerts and events through the years, but some gatherings reach far beyond music — they resonate deeply with the soul. This evening at Victory Church was one of those rare experiences, one that I can honestly say was among the most Spirit-filled nights I’ve ever encountered.
Victory Church, an Assemblies of God congregation visible from Interstate 4, proved to be the perfect setting. The space wasn’t massive, but large enough to welcome thousands of worshippers who came with expectant hearts. Thanks to Anthony’s tour team, we were blessed with incredible seats close to the front — a gesture that made the evening even more special. From start to finish, the night exceeded every expectation.

The event began just after 7 p.m. and stretched well past three hours, but the time seemed to fly as worship filled the sanctuary. Evans opened with a powerful set that blended familiar anthems like “Here I Am to Worship,” “I Exalt Thee” and “Goodness of God” with newer material. One of the most moving moments came when he introduced “You’re Not Finished,” a song inspired by the miraculous testimony of Kaleb Carson. Diagnosed with leukemia as a toddler and given only a 10% chance of survival — along with the grim outlook that he might never speak again — Carson not only survived but went on to develop a powerful singing voice. To see him stand alongside Evans and share this song was nothing short of breathtaking. It was a living reminder that God’s story in our lives isn’t over until He says so.

From there, the evening transitioned seamlessly into Moore’s portion of the worship night. Without intermission, he joined mid-song, turning what could have felt like a “handoff” into a Spirit-led continuation. Both Evans and Moore emphasized from the stage that this wasn’t a concert but a worship gathering — not about them, but about all of us collectively lifting our voices to God.

Moore led the congregation into some of his most well-known songs, including “Praise,” “I Thank God,” and “More Than Able.” The atmosphere in the room grew even more reverent and intense as worshippers fell to their knees, lifted their hands and cried out in prayer. At times the sound of spontaneous praise, tears and even tongues filled the space. It was evident that this was far more than a scheduled event — it was a genuine encounter with the presence of God.

Another memorable moment came when Evans shared about Food for the Poor, an organization close to his heart. He spoke honestly about how he once doubted its mission until God convicted him through personal experiences. Hearing him testify about shifting from skepticism to passionate advocacy was both challenging and inspiring, reminding us all of our biblical call to care for those in need.

The evening closed with the powerful anthem “Firm Foundation (He Won’t),” a declaration of God’s steadfastness that sent us home filled with faith and encouragement. By the end of the night, I felt not just refreshed but transformed. For me personally, this event arrived in a season where life had felt heavy and spiritual battles intense. Yet as the worship rose, I sensed God’s nearness and was reminded that even when the enemy works hard to discourage, God’s presence is greater, His promises are stronger and His Spirit is enough.

I left Victory Church convinced that this worship night was more than a stop on a tour — it was a divine appointment. The music, the testimonies and the Spirit-filled atmosphere spoke directly into my heart and into the lives of countless others who gathered.

If you ever have the opportunity to attend an event with Anthony Evans or Chandler Moore, I cannot recommend it enough. Their sincerity, artistry and Spirit-led leadership create not just a concert but a space where heaven touches earth. This was an unforgettable night of worship, and one I will carry with me for a long time to come.
