LOS ANGELES (March 2026) — The award-winning Off-Broadway musical MENDEL’S MESSIAH is coming to streaming platforms worldwide this spring in a powerful new cinematic adaptation. Honored with the Bronze Halo Award, the beloved stage production now reaches global audiences with its bold, music-filled proclamation of faith and redemption.

Blending Gospel music, dynamic dance, humor, and heartfelt storytelling, MENDEL’S MESSIAH follows the journey of Mendel Moskowitz, a Jewish candy store owner in Brooklyn whose life is shattered when an anti-Semitic mob destroys his shop. In his anguish, Mendel cries out to God, questioning the turmoil and hatred in the world and wondering when the promised Messiah will come.

In a supernatural encounter, the Angel Gabriel appears and takes Mendel on a breathtaking journey through dreams, visions, and time-travel. Along the way, Mendel encounters Yeshua (Jesus), His disciples, and the forces of darkness led by Beelzebub.

Through dramatic and often humorous spiritual confrontations, Mendel ultimately discovers that Yeshua is the long-awaited Jewish Messiah. The film culminates in a triumphant message of hope: victory over death, darkness, and unbelief through faith.

MENDEL’S MESSIAH is executive produced, written, and composed by husband-and-wife team Jeremiah and Wendy Ginsberg. Directed by Emmy Award winner Bradford May, the film stars Beau Davidson as “Yeshua”, Stephen Len White as “Beelzebub” and Gary Morgan as “Mendel.”

“There is no more beautiful love story in the history of the world than the Gospel found in John 3:16,” says Jeremiah Ginsberg. “Decades ago, my wife and I became believers and were amazed to discover that Jesus is Jewish, and that His Hebrew name, Yeshua, means ‘salvation.’ We felt called to tell the epic story of His life, death, and resurrection in a Jewish way—richly, joyfully, and beautifully through music, dance, humor, and deep emotion.”

At its heart, MENDEL’S MESSIAH is a story of restoration of one man’s journey from doubt to belief, and of God’s enduring covenant love revealed through His Son. With soaring music and vibrant storytelling, the film invites viewers to rediscover the Messiah in a fresh and meaningful way.
