Human trafficking is a heartbreaking topic, especially when children are involved. Sadly, it’s also something that many are still blind to the horrible truth of how prevalent it is today.

Based on actual events, Sound Of Freedom, seeks to share the message about the terrible world that thousands of children are forced into and to hopefully start the necessary conversations and encourage action to help rescue the victims of trafficking.

Department of Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard has helped take down many who have engaged in unspeakable acts towards children. After meeting & rescuing a child from his captors, Tim learns the young boy has a sister who has also been abducted, though her fate is unknown as they were separated. This ignites a fire in Tim to find the girl and reunite her with her family. This takes him on a challenging and life threatening journey into the jungles of South America where he comes face to face with some of the most powerful and ruthless members of the human trafficking rings. Throughout the film, Tim is portrayed as a man of conviction & faith who will stop at nothing to save as many as possible from the evil ones keeping them enslaved.

Given the difficult subject matter, as you may expect there are several scenes in this film that are emotionally hard to watch. While viewers are spared the most graphic visuals, we are shown enough to grasp the horrific events taking place. Be advised that there are some very intense moments as well as usage of language some may find uncomfortable.

Overall, Sound Of Freedom is a very well-made and important movie that ultimately does inspire hope that there are people willing to risk everything for the sake of saving a life, or the lives of many. The story takes you on an action-packed journey that keeps you drawn in with the desire to see good overcome evil – which in this particular film, it does.
