MADISON, Wis. — July 31, 2026 — Award-winning Christian rock/Americana artist Howard Gripp releases “Welcome To Your Life” today through NRT Music. Produced by veteran Christian music producer, songwriter and guitarist Billy Smiley, the energetic title track opens the rollout for Gripp’s first full-length album, recorded in Nashville and centered on hope, identity, healing and redemption.

“Welcome To Your Life” began during a quiet moment on a beach, where Gripp looked across the ocean and reflected on the turning points that can redirect a life. The song pairs an upbeat, guitar-driven sound with a message rooted in 2 Corinthians 5:17: in Christ, the old has gone and the new has come.

“No matter where we’ve been or what mistakes we’ve made, there is always an opportunity to begin a new chapter,” Gripp says. “My hope is that listeners walk away encouraged and inspired, knowing their past does not have to define their future.”

With its repeated invitation — “Welcome to your life” — the song frames a fresh start not as a denial of the past, but as a reminder that grace, forgiveness and purpose remain available. Images of footprints fading beneath the tide reinforce the song’s central promise: yesterday does not have to determine tomorrow, and God can lead listeners through every storm and back toward hope.

Written by Gripp, arranged by Gripp and Smiley, and produced by Smiley, the 3-minute, 10-second single features Mike Payne, Smiley and Gripp on acoustic guitar; Payne and Smiley on electric guitar; Chris Donahue on bass; Miles McPherson on drums and percussion; Jonathan Brown on organ and piano; and background vocals from Ron Hemby, Smiley and Gripp. Billy Whittington and Smiley handled mixing and mastering.

The release continues the momentum Gripp built through two Nashville-recorded EPs that have collectively surpassed 500,000 Spotify streams. His 2024 debut, Rescued Redeemed Forgiven, earned Best Christian Album of the Year and Best Christian Song of the Year at the 2025 Rampage Music Awards, while the video for “Hello It’s Me” received Music Video of the Year honors from multiple film competitions. His follow-up EP, I Can Feel The Change, earned Album of the Year at the Elite Music Awards and further awards recognition. Gripp has also received finalist honors at the 2026 WAMI Awards, ISSA Awards and Prayze Factor Awards.

After years performing in the secular rock scene, Gripp redirected his music toward ministry following a life-changing encounter with Jesus.
