JOSH GROVE FINDS HOPE IN HONEST LAMENT ON NEW WORSHIP SINGLE “TRUST (PSALM 13)”

THE 16-YEAR-OLD WORSHIP LEADER DELIVERS A HEARTFELT ANTHEM OF FAITH, REMINDING LISTENERS THAT TRUST CAN FLOURISH EVEN IN LIFE’S LONGEST SEASONS OF WAITING

Kalamazoo, MI – August 7, 2026 – Sixteen-year-old Christian singer-songwriter and worship leader Josh Grove continues to release compelling singles with “Trust (Psalm 13),” a vulnerable worship anthem that reminds listeners faith is the decision to keep trusting God in the middle of questions.

Inspired by Psalm 13, the new single gives voice to the emotions many believers experience but often struggle to express. Through heartfelt lyrics and a contemplative melody, Grove explores seasons marked by desperation, loneliness, and unanswered prayers, echoing David’s repeated cry of, “How long?” Yet rather than ending in despair, the song follows the same path as the biblical psalm, arriving at a place of renewed confidence in God’s unfailing love.

“‘Trust (Psalm 13)‘ is about choosing faith when life doesn’t make sense,” says Grove. “Even when we don’t see immediate answers, God remains faithful. We can still rejoice because of who He is and what He’s done.”

Produced by Eric Haley, the track balances intimate verses with an uplifting chorus that transforms lament into worship. As Grove sings, “I’ll trust in You, and Your faithful love / Can’t wait to see what You’ll do in it all,” the song offers a reminder that God’s faithfulness is not determined by present circumstances but by His unchanging character.

The release showcases another side of the young Michigan artist, whose musical versatility has already taken him from worship music to Christian hip-hop collaborations and rock-inspired releases. While previous singles such as the Number 1 charting song “Rain or Shine (feat. KJ-52),” “New Life,” and “Hope” demonstrated his willingness to explore different musical styles, “Trust (Psalm 13)” returns to the worship roots that first inspired his ministry.

Despite being only 16 years old, Grove has quickly built an impressive résumé. After signing with NRT Music in 2025, his debut worship single, “Holy Flame,” earned finalist honors in the Unsigned Only Music Awards. “A Mighty Thanks” received national airplay on the Weekend Top 20 Countdown, reaching more than 300 radio stations, while “Rain or Shine (feat. KJ-52)” climbed to No. 1 on the Christian Music Weekly CHH/Rhythmic Chart for numerous weeks. His songwriting has also received national recognition through the American Songwriter Competition and the International Songwriting Competition, and he recently signed a publishing administration deal with Kingdom Impact Group.

With “Trust (Psalm 13),” Grove continues to establish himself as a thoughtful young songwriter unafraid to wrestle with difficult questions while pointing listeners back to the hope found in Christ. It’s a worship song for anyone waiting on God, reminding them that even in life’s longest seasons, trust can become an act of praise.
