NEW BEC RECORDINGS SIGNEE EVEYLN CORMIER DROPS FORTHCOMING RADIO SINGLE, “LEANING ON JESUS,” TODAY

NASHVILLE, TENN. / SEATTLE, WASH. (MARCH 27, 2026) — New BEC Recordings signee Evelyn Cormier drops her fresh single, “Leaning On Jesus,” across all streaming platforms today. Fans can listen to the original offering here and watch the song’s official music video below. “Leaning On Jesus” is set to impact radio soon.

“I wrote ‘Leaning On Jesus’ at the end of myself, for a time I’d never been more desperate for heaven’s intervention, for a child in search of her Father’s shelter and strength,” Evelyn Cormier shares. “‘Leaning On Jesus’ is an anthem of God’s power, His mercy, and His unwavering love. When our feet can’t go another step, when we can’t carry on in our own strength, this song is the reminder that we can lean on Jesus.”

Co-written with Colby Wedgeworth and Paul Duncan, “Leaning On Jesus” continues to introduce listeners to Cormier’s autobiographical lyricism and peace-inducing folk-pop. The New Hampshire native’s debut radio single follows recent DSP release “Like Me Better,” which amassed more than 1.5 million streams in just eight weeks. The synth-laced track features the newcomer’s airy vocal and a message of freedom from unhealthy relationships and people-pleasing.

More new music is expected from the “American Idol” Top 14 contestant in the months to come.

ABOUT EVELYN CORMIER: Originally from New Hampshire, Evelyn Cormier began singing in church at age 10 and writing songs by 13. She soon formed a family band with her father accompanying her on guitar — a partnership that continues today on stages across the U.S. and internationally. Cormier first gained national attention in 2019 as a Top 14 finalist on Season 17 of “American Idol.” Judge Katy Perry praised her voice as “one of my favorite voices I’ve ever heard in my life.” For more than a decade, she released music independently before signing with BEC Recordings in 2025. With her acoustic-rooted folk-pop sound and a growing audience, Cormier hopes her music provides listeners with a moment of stillness.

Alongside her music career, Cormier is also a self-published author of historical fiction, with two novels released and a third slated for 2026. When she’s not writing or performing, she and her husband are restoring a historic farmhouse in New Hampshire — a reflection of her love for preserving the past and making it new.

ABOUT BEC RECORDINGS: BEC Recordings exists at the intersection of faith and culture. For more than 25 years, the label has amplified artists whose music has reached beyond church walls — onto Billboard charts, into film and TV, across major retail campaigns, and through sold-out festival grounds. Today, that mission continues with a current roster that includes Cory Asbury, Tasha Layton, Gracie Binion, Jordan St. Cyr and several others— artists carrying the torch lit by BEC alumni like Jeremy Camp, Hawk Nelson, Kutless, 7eventh Time Down, and The O.C. Supertones, who got their start or built their careers with the label. BEC has proven that music rooted in conviction can also dominate the mainstream conversation — and after all these years, that legacy shows no signs of slowing down.
