The ladies of HighRoad, Sarah Davison, Kristen Bearfield, Ivy Phillips, and Nicole Croteau, combine grassy instrumentation, lush harmonies, original songs and gentle, nostalgia-laden melodies harkening back to their roots. The album features top-notch guest artists, including the legendary Ricky Skaggs, Scotty Inman, The Isaacs, Karen Peck, and more, Straight From the Heart showcases this stellar lineup of guest artists who add musical flavoring and richness to HighRoad’s captivating sound. Tracks such as “That’s What Love Is,” “Sing a Hallelujah,” and the bluegrass gospel classic “Working on a Building” display HighRoad’s versatility. The first single from the album, “When I Lift My Head,” has already resonated deeply with fans, setting the stage for the impactful and soulful journey that Straight From The Heart offers the listener.

About HighRoad:

A gifted pianist, vocalist and piano performance graduate of Belmont University, band leader Sarah Davison often lends her talents to a veritable who’s who of leading country artists. She toured with iconic Country Music Hall of Famer George Jones on his final tour of Canada, she performs regularly on the Grand Ole Opry with ACM Award-winner and Grand Ole Opry member Mark Wills and Grand Ole Opry member The Isaacs, and most recently performed with country newcomer Emily Ann Roberts on the recent Blake Shelton Tour. Sarah has written choral pieces performed by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and co-wrote HighRoad’s #1 Gospel Charting Song, “Christ My Hope, My Glory”, performed with GrammyTM and Dove winner, Jason Crabb. She has been the pianist for Gaither Homecoming series tapings featuring Bradley Walker and actor Dennis Quaid. Sarah was the musical director for the Dove Awards segment in 2022 tributing women in Gospel music, arranging the old spiritual song, “Working on a Building”, featuring 12 ladies from Christian and bluegrass music.

HighRoad has garnered a GRAMMY® nomination for their participation in the album Gonna Sing, Gonna Shout, two Singing News Fan Award nominations, and two Dove Award nominations for Bluegrass/Roots Album of the Year. They regularly perform at leading country and Gospel music events including 40 Days at the Ark Encounter, Singing In The Sun, Women of Joy, The National Quartet Convention, Dollywood, and more.
