Tampa, FL (December 16, 2016) – When Today’s Christian Entertainment (TCE) launched their new website in January 2016 in place of the long running review site Christian Music Review (CMR), the former site’s podcast Kingdom Builder was left in limbo. It was with the help of radio producer and author, Jennifer Alden, founder of TCE’s partner ministry One Jam Nation Radio (OJNR) who insisted not only did Kingdom Builder need to continue, but she believed its platform would grow into something larger and more expansive to further glorify His kingdom. “What that would entail, I was not aware of, at least when I first had the conversation with Jennifer,” recalls TCE co-founder Jay Heilman. “I worked in radio back in 2004, so I knew that Kingdom Builder had the potential to be much more than it had been under the seven years I did it through CMR.  I really wanted it to continue, but I needed a clear direction.”

With a nudge and a little guidance from Alden, Heilman recorded and produced Kingdom Builder’s one-hour show which debuted on OJNR’s radio waves Saturday, August 13, 2016. The first show featured special guest Michael Sweet, lead singer of the rock band STRYPER.  “Having TCE/Kingdom Builder on air, has lent hand to One Jam Nation Radio in staying true to what I believe the Lord had originally showed me OJNR would do (this was in May of 2014). It is celebrating the Lord with joy and music, and bringing the who’s who of the Christian Music Industry onto the airwaves, to share not only their music with our listeners, but their hearts as well, and that we would be doing this all around the world. They are implementing interviews and reviews in such a way, as to reach more people for Christ,” says Alden. “Their motto is the same as OJNR – keep the faith strong, and continue to put Christ first in all that you do.”

After its initial 16-week run on OJNR, Kingdom Builder will air its last show of 2016 on Saturday, December 17th with special segments from TCE’s writing team reflecting on their favorite Christmas memories and traditions.  The one-hour show will return on Saturday, January 7, 2017 with an exclusive interview with legendary NCAA football coach and speaker Bobby Bowden.  Bowden’s new documentary The Bowden Dynasty will debut in theaters for one-day only on Sunday, January 8, 2017.  Also on the schedule in January 2017 is another Kingdom Builder exclusive – an interview with Lou Gramm, the original lead vocalist of 80’s powerhouse rock band Foreigner.
