Chris Quilala ‘Split The Sky’

Jesus Culture worship leader Chris Quilala brings a collection of praise & worship with his debut solo release, Split The Sky.

The album opens with “Welcome Here”, inviting the presence of God to fill the lives of those gathered in His Name as we surrender ourselves to Him and allow Him to work in us.

“Because Of Your Love” is a song of grateful praise recognizing the redeeming power of God’s love. We can never outrun His love for us and nothing can ever separate us from it.

“Surrendered”, featuring fellow artist Kari Jobe, tells of the peace found in spending personal time with God when you’re willing to give your life to Him.

“The Length Of The Cross” points out our worth and importance in God’s eyes and the immeasurable love shown to us through sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

“Heaven Came For Me” shows gratitude for the grace & kindness given to us, even when we don’t deserve it. We can rest in knowing that we are chosen by God and He cares for us more than we will ever comprehend.

While each track on Split The Sky is well produced with smooth vocals set to a melodic background, it does at times feel a bit repetitive. However, the overall theme of God’s love for us and His faithfulness is clearly in the forefront.
