World-Renowned Singer-Songwriters Tauren Wells and Cody Carnes, along with Gateway’s Worship Band, will lead thousands of men in worship this summer

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — On July 16 and 17, Promise Keepers (PK), the men’s ministry founded in 1990 by Coach Bill McCartney and known for their massive stadium events, will hold its 2021 national conference at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The event, believed to be the nation’s first mass Christian gathering since the pandemic, will focus on worship that strengthens the soul, a brotherhood that lasts a lifetime, and tools that empower participants to be the men Christ intended them to be.

The men leading worship this year, Cody Carnes, Tauren Wells, along with Gateway Worship, are not only accomplished musicians and powerful worship leaders, they are also men who know from experience that worship is an act of war against the enemy of our hearts.

Cody Carnes, well known for his scriptural worship song, ‘The Blessing’ that featured his wife Kari Jobe and Elevation Worship, earned a GMA Dove Award and a Grammy nomination. Carnes launched his solo music career with the album, The Darker the Night the Brighter the Morning. His second studio album, Run to the Father, released in 2020, was nominated for a Grammy Award.

Tauren Wells, a bilingual artist fluent in English and Spanish, famously wrote the anthem ‘Famous For’. He is a worship leader from Lakewood Church, Houston, and the former frontman for the American Christian pop rock band Royal Tailor, which earned two Grammy nominations and a GMA Dove Award.

Gateway Worship is the primary worship expression for Dallas-Fort Worth based Gateway Church, one of the largest and most influential churches in North America. A collective of more than 40 worship leaders, musicians, songwriters and others, They are known for songs like “Revelation Song,” “The More I Seek You,” and “Más Grande.”

Ken Harrison, Chairman of Promise Keepers, said:

“Jack Hayford said it best when he challenged Promise Keepers with these words, ‘How can a man find the path to worship that pours substance into him, strength into his life’s foundations, unshakable stability into his marriage, steadfastness into his relationships, and trustworthiness into his work and business practices? The answer is found by beginning where God has always started with men—at worship!’ Cody Carnes, Tauren Wells, and Gateway Worship are going to show us the way.”
