Hillary Scott & The Scott Family ‘Love Remains’

You may recognize Hillary Scott as a member of award-winning country music group Lady Antebellum. With each member taking time to focus on an individual project, Hillary, along with her mother Linda Davis, father Lang Scott and younger sister Rylee, offer a collection of inspirational songs that includes both original material & hand-picked favorites that have special meaning to the family. What started as a ‘thank you’ gift intended for relatives & friends, Love Remains, blossomed into an album for everyone to enjoy.

Opening track, “Beautiful Messes”, reminds listeners that no matter who we are, we’re all broken & in need of a Savior. Thankfully, we have one who is willing to accept us even at our worst. He will pick up our shattered pieces & take our baggage from our shoulders.

 “Still” tells of the struggle between holding on to the things that weigh us down and letting go of them trusting that God will help us through. Even when we know He is more than capable of handling whatever is troubling us, it can be hard to truly give Him control and just be still in His peace. We all need to be reminded that He is faithful to keep His promises & and is working on the solution in more ways than we can understand.

“Safe Haven” is a tribute to Hillary’s grandfather and portrays him as a kind, caring & faith-filled individual. Though the loss of him was an incredibly difficult time for the family, this song is full of the hope that they will be reunited one day in heaven.

“The Faithful Love Of Jesus (Feat. Steven Curtis Chapman)” celebrates the ever present, constant love of our Lord which will never leave us no matter what.

The lead single from the project, “Thy Will”, is a reminder that it’s ok to have questions and wonder why things happen the way they do and why we have to go through pain. In the midst of those questions, we need to hold on to the hope of the promise that He is in the middle of it all and even though it doesn’t make sense to us now, God knows what He’s doing.

The title track, “Love Remains”, features the entire Scott family sharing their hearts through song as they tell a story of the stages of life we all experience with Rylee singing first about childhood, Hillary about adulthood & their parents about later years and the realization that through it all, hope lives on & love remains.

Listeners are treated to the family’s beautiful renditions of “Come To Jesus” & “Come Thou Fount” before the album closes with “Ain’t No Grave” celebrating the eternal truth of life beyond this world that’s waiting for those who place their belief & trust in Jesus.

From start to finish, Love Remains showcases the heartfelt harmonies of the Scott Family as they share their journey of faith through the heights and valleys of life and the hope that is found in a relationship with our Heavenly Father.
