PHIL WICKHAM’S NEW ALBUM, I BELIEVE, COMING AUGUST 18TH

Title track and music video available now

Nashville, Tenn. (July 10, 2023) — Last Friday, two-time GRAMMY® nominee Phil Wickham dropped the title track and official music video from his highly anticipated new studio album I BELIEVE, set to release August 18th. “I Believe” serves as the fourth instant grat track to preview the respected worship leader’s forthcoming LP.

Previously released advance tracks include “This Is Our God,” swiftly evolving into one of the biggest songs of Wickham’s career to date, holding the No. 1 spot on three charts: Mediabase Christian Audience, Mediabase Christian AC and Billboard Christian AC.  “Sunday Is Coming” and “The Jesus Way” in followed in March and May respectively.

“There are so many searching for truth, meaning, belonging, purpose, hope, fulfillment, peace and healing,” Wickham passionately states about his inspiration for ‘I Believe.’ “I have found all of these things and more in the person of Jesus Christ. I think the world is desperate to see and hear people full of hope, joy, love and confidence telling their stories about how Jesus saved and changed their lives; About how He is the best thing they have ever found, and He will be the best thing anyone will ever find. My song “I Believe” was written to shout about Jesus from the rooftops. Something that we as believers can unify together on and say with joy in our hearts that we believe in the mighty name of Jesus! I can’t wait to sing this one with you all. I’ve never put more time, effort and prayer into a project, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all when it releases on August 18th!”

Wickham recently led the tally of nominations for the 2023 K-LOVE Fan Awards, when he nominated in five categories:  Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, Worship Song of the Year, Book Impact of the Year and Male Artist of the Year.  He took home the Book Impact Award for penning ON OUR KNEES.

About Phil Wickham:Phil Wickham is a GRAMMY® nominated artist and leader in the modern worship movement, having penned countless songs sung in churches around the world. Most recently, his single, “This Is Our God,” opened the pages of 2023 with a wellspring of declarative praise to our God who saves. Also in 2023, the artist was nominated for two GRAMMY® awards in the category of “Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song,” recognizing the songs, “Hymn of Heaven” and “Holy Forever.” Hymn of Heaven, Wickham’s last full-length album, won him “Worship Album of the Year” at the 2022 GMA Dove Awards, while he was named “Songwriter of the Year” as well as awarded “Worship Recorded Song of the Year” for the title track, “Hymn of Heaven.” In addition, the song, “Battle Belongs,” topped five different radio charts for multiple weeks. This powerful album was written during a year when the family of God couldn’t physically gather in houses of worship around the world. “Hymn of Heaven is full of praise and thankfulness, just lifting up the name of Jesus and speaking what we really know is the reality, even though we don’t see it,” he says. “All I want to do is facilitate moments where people can encounter the presence of God.” Wickham’s anthemic “Living Hope,” an RIAA Gold®-certified hit, earned him a GMA Dove Award for “Worship Recorded Song of the Year” in 2019, while his first RIAA Gold®-certified single, “This Is Amazing Grace,” was his first career No. 1. This iconic song held the top spot for thirteen consecutive weeks and was named Billboard’s No. 1 “Christian Airplay Song of the Year” in 2014, as well as BMI’s “Christian Song of the Year” in 2015. Wickham’s music has received hundreds of millions of streams across multiple platforms, with his discography including eight full-length projects, several Christmas releases, and a series of popular Singalong records that capture Wickham’s songs as they do what they were always meant to do — which is giving people language to sing to God.
