LOCAL SOUND’S SUNDAY SCHOOL EP AVAILABLE NOW

Nashville, Tenn. (July 19, 2019) Local Sound’s newest EP, Sunday School, is available everywhere today. Sunday School features five 1990s worship favorites with the trio’s pop music spin. The EP includes Local Sound’s treasured worship songs like “Shout To The Lord,” “Open The Eyes Of My Heart,” featuring special guest Paul Baloche as well as the hits “I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever,” “Agnus Dei / Heart of Worship” and “Let My Words Be Few.” Below are the official lyric videos for three of the songs featured on the Sunday School EP in true 1990s form.

“I grew up listening to these songs,” shares Local Sound’s Emily Wyant. “They are truly the soundtrack of my childhood. I am honored to be a part of a project that recognizes the beauty and importance of these songs.”

Since the songs featured on Sunday School on the EP are globally-known and have been sung in churches around the globe for decades, Local Sound has recorded the songs in both Spanish and Portuguese along with English. The group has been personally impacted by these cultures and wants to honor them with these translations as resources for their local church. The Spanish and Portuguese versions will release in August.

To date, Local Sound has toured with the likes of Mosaic MSC, Cody Carnes, and Mack Brock, and plans are underway for further tour dates this year. The group has also been involved with events such as the Outcry Tour, Desperation Conference, and Camp Electric. For more information, please visit LocalSoundBand.com and their social links below.

ABOUT LOCAL SOUND: Founded and led by Jared Runion, Local Sound, which also includes Garrett Tyler and Emily Wyant, grew out of the Nashville college and young adult ministry MyLocal615 and sees itself as culture creators who support the work of the local church in the lives of young adults.

“The ‘Local’ within Local Sound speaks to the roots of who we are and why we do what we do,” Runion has previously publicized. “We fully back God’s dream of the local church and we believe that God, the original culture creator, has designed the local church as ‘Plan A’ – to immerse the world in His culture. We were never intended to be the products of temporary culture. We were made to be distributors of an eternal one.”

“The ‘Sound’ portion of our name is a reflection of our heart and our passion to unite the Word of God with high energy, innovative music that reaches the world,” he adds. “We believe we have been called to spread the Gospel through relevant and inspiring message-driven songs that express the joy found in a life fully devoted to Christ and the realization of the deep love that the Shepherd has for us.”

In April of 2019, they released The Free World, Vol. 1 with Integrity Music, which was the follow-up to their 2017 independent EP. LocalSoundBand.com.
