Bethel Music ‘Come Up Here’

The Bethel Music collective of artists has released their latest project, Come Up Here, featuring songs of pure worship. Accompanied by performance videos that can also be viewed on Bethel Music’s YouTube channel, each track was recorded live surrounded by the California Redwood Forest displaying the beauty of God’s creation.

“The Great Beyond”, performed by Brian Johnson and Amanda Cook, sets the tone for the album with a song that offers praise as the lyrics tell of keeping our eyes fixed on God and His promises to us through every circumstance that we may face. We can depend on God’s love to be there when we are at our weakest.

“Beauty”, performed by David Funk, celebrates the love, sacrifice and grace of the gift we receive through Jesus. All praise, glory and honor is given to God as the song plays out and the hearts of listeners are drawn into worship.

“Surrounded By Holy”, performed by Zahriya Zachary, beautifully expresses the awe of being consumed by the wonder and majesty of God.

My personal favorite track on the album, “Time & Time Again”, performed by Josh Baldwin, focuses on the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father who never fails us no matter what happens. He will take the broken and make it new. We can trust Him to always carry us through.

“Inheritance”, performed by Emmy Rose, declares that nothing compares to the presence of our Savior. More than material things or anything this world has to offer, life lived in relationship with Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment.

The title track, “Come Up Here” performed by Jenn Johnson, closes the album with a message that reveals God’s desire for us to be with Him forever and also to experience His peace while still living on earth.

For listeners looking for an immersive experience, Come Up Here can be a soundtrack to your quiet time as you pray & reflect. Each track provides an opportunity to recall the blessings that God has given. With solid vocals set to a peaceful musical backdrop, the album is a welcome addition to the playlists of those who enjoy this style of worship.
