Citizens & Saints ‘A Mirror Dimly’

Seattle based worship leaders Citizens & Saints are set to release their third studio album, A Mirror Dimly. This album is the culmination of the band’s search for clarity after the downfall of the Mars Hill church organization which they were associated with. This makes for an album that we all can relate to in some way when the clouds of doubt fog our mind as we strive to continue our faith journey through the trials of life.

The album opens with “Crown Him” depicting the majesty of Christ set to a musical backdrop that builds to a soaring chorus setting the tone for the rest of the tracks.

“Madness” tells of how our faith can be shaken in a world filled with evil & hardships. Even though doubt can sometimes creep into our lives and we cannot understand the reason for many things that happen, when we cling to the hope only found in a relationship with God, He will be our anchor in the middle of the raging sea.

“Relent” shares the story of someone who has grown weary of carrying the weight of their choices in life on their own and decides to give it over to God surrendering their life to Him knowing that doing so is the only way they can survive.

“Kids” reminds listeners that we are adopted by a Heavenly Father who loves us unconditionally making us, to quote the chorus, “kids of grace”.

“Doubting Doubts” shares of the struggle of battling with doubts when they hinder our faith. When we place our hope in God, we can be assured that He will love & accept us no matter what when we come to Him openly and willing to trust in Him.

A Mirror Dimly offers a collection of music with unique production & an unpolished vocal approach featuring songs that speak to a wide range of audiences while directing the attention heavenward to our awesome God.
