Gateway ‘Monuments’

Gateway Church’s new project, Monuments, is a collection of music that gives listeners a heartfelt worship experience.

“Open The Heavens” sets the tone for the rest of the album with a prayerful desire for the Spirit of God to move mightily and ignite a passionate faith within His people.

Title track, “Monuments”, tells of how we are living monuments representing God’s faithfulness, mercy & the redeeming grace He has shown us. We stand as examples of His love and we are to reflect that love to those around us.

“Precious Jesus” gives praise for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His victory over the grave, a victory that we share in when we place our faith and trust in Him. The inclusion of a chorus from the classic hymn “’Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus” is a nice addition to the song.

“My Only Hope” stands out to me as a bold anthem declaring the sovereignty of Christ and a hope that is firmly placed in Him.

“Wilderness” closes the album with a reminder that we are never promised that we won’t experience periods of despair, doubtfulness and wrestle difficult questions, but we are promised that God will not leave us alone to face those hardships.

From start to finish, strong vocals and melodic rhythms are on display as the songs provide a soundtrack for devotional time and a welcome addition to your worship music catalogue.
