Ivan Parker ‘Dancing In The Rain’

Ivan Parker has been a staple in Southern Gospel music for many years having shared the stage with countless legends including frequent appearances on the Gaither Vocal Band’s Homecoming specials. The release of Dancing In The Rain is Ivan’s 16^th project in his storied 30-plus year career.

The album opens with its title track, “Dancing In The Rain”, celebrating that even when times get tough, we can still find peace & joy in the midst of the storm when we remember that God is at the center and the promise of a clear day on the other side.

“Jesus Built This Church On Love” calls for unity within the body of Christ. We need to stay focused on the message of the Gospel without letting petty differences turn people away from Him. While it is important not to condone sin, we can still reflect the love of God in our actions without condemnation.

“A Little More Like You” is a prayer to be more like God within our day to day world and how we handle situations, strengthening our relationship with Him as we strive to live a life that shows Christ in every aspect.

“Mama’s Rocking Chair (Feat. Sandy Parker)” tells of seeing the stories of Jesus and other heroes of the Bible through a child’s eyes growing up with a mother who faithfully read to her children. It inspires us to approach our time in God’s Word with that same childlike faith we had when we were younger.

“Walk My Way (Feat. Canton Junction)” closes the album with a song that highlights some of the miracles Jesus performed while He was on Earth teaching & encouraging people to follow Him.

Throughout Dancing In The Rain, Ivan Parker gives listeners the kind of songs they’ve come to expect & fans of traditional Southern Gospel enjoy while keeping sights set on the message of Jesus and sharing the Good News with everyone who hears.
