🎧 Mike’s Weekly Fresh 4 – April 18, 2025

Your weekly dose of what’s hot in Christian music – four tracks, four vibes, one playlist you’ll want to hit repeat on.

Welcome back, family! It’s that time again—when I dig into the latest and greatest in Christian music and bring you four songs that are either climbing the charts, stirring hearts, or just straight-up hitting hard. This week brings a beautiful mix: from heartfelt honesty to stadium-level hype. Let’s get into it.

🎵 Josh Wright – “Just Hold On”

This heartfelt single from Josh Wright is soaked in honesty and hope. Backed by a gentle, acoustic guitar-driven melody, “Just Hold On” encourages us to stay rooted in faith through life’s high points and hard knocks. In our recent conversation, Josh opened up about living in the tension of belief and brokenness:

“After grief, I really found myself bracing for impact — like, what tragedy is going to happen next? That kept me in a place of dread.”

But instead of letting pain paralyze him, Josh chooses to hold on.

“We can still pray and believe for healing, for protection, and for God’s guidance. Even though I’ve experienced loss—my dad, my brother—I’m choosing to hold on. The testimony of faith helps. That’s how we overcome—by the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony, and surrender.”

“Just Hold On” becomes more than a song—it’s a living testimony. And through both his story and his sound, Josh reminds us that faith isn’t about avoiding pain… it’s about holding on through it.

🎵 Katy Nichole – “Honest Conversation”

There’s something truly refreshing about a song that doesn’t sugarcoat the struggle—and Katy Nichole delivers just that with the title track from her upcoming sophomore album, Honest Conversations (dropping August 15). Produced by GRAMMY-nominated Jeff Pardo, the song is a raw and vulnerable cry to God, born out of Katy’s own wrestling with depression and anxiety. She mentions, “If I’m so loved by God, why do I still feel this pain?” it captures the kind of spiritual wrestling so many of us know too well. And yet, it offers comfort, healing, and the reassurance that God meets us in the questions. It’s bold. It’s beautiful. And it’s exactly what Christian music needs right now.

🎵 Manafest – “Guest Who’s Back”

Canadian Christian rapper Manafest returns with a fire-filled reminder that he’s still very much in the game. “Guest Who’s Back” has those unmistakable Eminem-esque vibes with razor-sharp flow and intense delivery. This track doesn’t just sound familiar—it feels like the comeback anthem of a veteran who’s never truly left. Following up his Silent Beast album from earlier this year, Manafest continues to prove that he’s a mainstay in Christian rap, unafraid to bring bold lyrics and gritty beats. If you’ve been rocking with Manafest since the “Impossible” or “Avalanche” days, this one’s going to hit just right.

🎵 Roy Tosh – “Burn Em All”

And now we turn the volume way up. “Burn Em All” by Roy Tosh is easily my favorite of the week—a high-octane, no-holds-barred anthem that demands max volume. This one screams hype and has all the makings of a sports stadium or gym playlist essential. Roy brings the heat and shows why he continues to be one of the most creative and consistent forces in Christian Hip Hop. It’s catchy, powerful, and unapologetically bold. This song doesn’t just make you want to move—it makes you want to win. Play it loud, and thank me later.

💿 That’s a wrap for this week!
