Southern gospel trio, Southbound, has released a new album- I Left It In the Water, and its affirmations and encouragement songs are a perfect addition to anyone’s life right now. I am sure that every family is going through their own challenges, and it seems that some of the challenges have sure picked up in weight, in drama and trauma, and, often, in length of duration.

Every song present in this album is a reminder of who God is and who we are in Him. Every one speaks to our minds, hearts and souls about the truth of our great need for the Lord. There is a good mix of upbeat songs and slower ones. Some of the songs that I was blessed by on this album are as follows:

GOD USES EVERYTHING is the opening song of the album, and boy, what a great song it is! It gives us perspective of how God has all things in His hands and is in control. Good or bad, He makes it all work together for His good. We must trust Him, His plans, and His ways.

NOTHING reminds us that we cannot do anything to change what God has given to us, what He has done for us, or His love for us. Nothing can separate us from Him or His love. What He feels about us remains constant and real. His ransom was paid, and He’d never change His mind about His sacrifice or His love for us.

FRIEND OF MINE reiterates how Jesus is our everything, sufficient, and forever and always for us.

IMPOSSIBLE is all about how nothing is impossible for God. The Lord proved it by the miracles present in the Bible. All it takes is faith, even as small as a mustard seed.
