Singer/songwriter and worship leader Brianne’s latest EP, Wonder, offers a pop-Christian mix with songs that explore the questions and emotions we encounter in life while standing in awe of our Creator, His plans for our lives and His perfect timing.
Opening with the title track, “Wonder” is a beautiful cover of the Bethel Music/Amanda Cook song inviting listeners to never lose the sense of wonder when we ponder the majesty, goodness and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father.
“Living On” reminisces on memories and special moments shared with a loved one; acknowledging the feelings, grief and loss of their physical presence, but finding comfort in the fact that the legacy of love, skills and values they instilled in us remain as we carry on and share those traits with those around us.
“Time Will Tell” asks the questions that so many of us wrestle with. Whether it’s a relationship, a career or certain life goals we’re hoping to achieve that seem to be taking much longer than we thought they would or the societal pressures trying to convince us we’re somehow missing the mark, we must continue to trust that God’s timing is perfect and when He’s ready, He will bring that someone or something into our life He knows we’re desiring in a way that will bring glory to Him!
The anthemic “Hopes Up” has become a personal theme song for me ever since I first heard it. The encouraging words remind us to pursue the dreams that God planted in our hearts and use the talents and abilities He’s given us. Sometimes it can be intimidating to step out in faith towards the call God has put on our life, but when we take that chance with Him, He will provide exactly what we need and open the doors that need to be opened while closing those which would not serve us well.
An instrumental version of “Wonder” allows our hearts to rest and listen for God’s voice as we reflect on His grace and presence all around us.
With powerhouse vocals, melodic rhythms, honest lyrics and solid production, Wonder is a welcome addition to your playlists as Brianne shares her heart and soul within this collection never losing sight of the true purpose of our lives seeking to honor our Heavenly Father each day.
