Charles Billingsley ‘Right Here’

After beginning his career as a member of Christian music group, Newsong, Charles Billingsley has been spreading the message of God through songs of worship to people across the country. Charles also serves as an artist-in-residence at Liberty University where he is the co-founder of the school’s Center for Music & Worship instructing students in performance and worship leading helping to prepare them to minister in the lives of others through music. The release of Right Here marks his first with Stowtown Records and the start of a new chapter in his musical career.

The album begins with “I Let My Heart Open” which tells of someone who made the choice to fully embrace a relationship with God, going from merely knowing about God to truly experiencing the joy, freedom and grace found when one invites Him into every aspect of their life.

“Jesus You Are” is a song of worship acknowledging the supremacy of Jesus being the Way, Truth and the Life. He is the source of hope, peace and light that provides a rock on which all who believe & trust in Him can stand.

“Right Here” encourages listeners to let go of their pain & struggles giving them over to a Savior Who is waiting with open arms to take them in and provide comfort and healing. Even in the darkness when it seems no one is around to help, He is right there reaching out for you to come to Him.

We hear Charles’ take on the Delirious? hit “Majesty (Here I Am)” as well as the modern praise song “Hallelujah (For The Savior)”.

“Victory (The Blood of Jesus)” recognizes the power of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross where He took on the sins of all mankind and triumphantly overcame death through His resurrecting power.

Also featured is “See You Again”, a duet with fellow artist Meredith Andrews, calling upon God to make His presence known in the lives of His people.

The closing track “Horizon” reminds us of the glorious promise that in the midst of sorrow, there is always a glimmer of hope and the dawn will break through the night to guide us to the other side.

Start to finish, Right Here offers songs of hope and worship in a time when the world around us seems to grow increasingly troubled every day. A solid foundation built on faith and trust in God must be the anchor we cling to.
