John Tibbs ‘Dead Man Walking’

Kentucky native John Tibbs has been garnering acclaim from music fans & critics alike leading up to the release of Dead Man Walking. After two successful, fan-backed EP’s, this marks John’s first full-length album and it does not disappoint.

“Silver In Stone” kicks off the album with a downhome groove that sets the tone for the rest of the tracks. It tells of how God will never let go or give up on us no matter what we’re facing. Even when we feel that we’ve gone too far, He will still love us & chip away the hardened exterior letting the treasure He placed in each of us shine through.

“Abraham” & “Anchor” each serve as reminders of God’s faithfulness & grace that carries us through whatever journey we are called to embark upon.

The title cut, “Dead Man Walking”, tells of the redeeming power that God’s love and the message of the cross has as it renews and breathes life into the souls of all who choose to believe.

“Run Wild” is a prayerful plea for God to move in the life of someone longing not to let the fire of faith burn out in their heart.

“Raining Pouring” uses the creative imagery of a stormy downpour to relate the message of being overtaken by God’s love. Just as the rains cleanse and give new life to the earth, so does His grace & mercy restore our soul.

The closing song, “Hope”, emphasizes the importance of not losing sight of the reason we believe and the promise we have placed our hope & faith in through the sacrifice of Jesus.

With influences of country, rock, and Americana heard throughout, Dead Man Walking is an appealing listen for fans spanning several musical genres. John’s edgy voice lends a rugged sound to honest, heartfelt lyrics that we all can relate to as we travel through everyday life.
