Jordan Feliz ‘The River’

The debut of Jordan Feliz’s album The River is one to keep your eye out for. With his hit radio single “The River” out now, Jordan is quickly climbing the charts and gaining the hearts of fans with easy-going and soulful voice. With going on tours with big name artists and bands like Big Daddy Weave and Plumb and appearing at Christian music festivals this summer, Jordan will be hitting the scene more and more this year- definitely an artist you need to keep a look out for this year.

Ever had a feeling down in your chest that you couldn’t help but share with everyone- like that good news you just received. That’s how followers of Jesus should feel when they receive the good news for the first time; they should be so excited about it that you can feel the happiness deep down in your being and wanting to tell everyone out there. “Live It Out” is saying just that; to live out our life for Jesus, spreading his good news like wild fire to everyone!

Everyone who has gone through tough seasons in their life wishes they had someone who was by their side; either encouraging them with prayer or words of encouragement. “You can make it / You can take it / Keep moving on” those are words that everyone wants to hear when you’re going through something tough or just need a pick me up. Lyrics from “Cheer You On” has encouraged me more and more the multiple times I’ve listened to it and I promise it will encourage you too.

“Beloved” has to be my personal favorite off the album. For me, I love songs that reminds us that we are important and loved and precious. Some days we feel like we’re on top of the world with ourselves, then in the blink of an eye, things can go down the drain- our confidence can go from 100 to 0 in a minute. “Listen to these words / You are beloved” There are days where we question our existence and purpose here on earth, but when I listen to the lyrics of this song and reminded of these sweet reasons of why I’m here.

There isn’t a song off of The River that I don’t love. Hats off to Jordan and his team for making a beautiful, soul-speaking album that I believe that will be one of the best lyric album of 2016.
