Worship leader Pat Barrett has had a hand in writing some of the most impactful songs in Christian music over the past few years. With the release of his latest full-length album, Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly, we hear songs that call us back to the heart of our faith and why we first believed.
“Long Way Home” opens the album with a song that tells of someone journeying through life’s ups and downs as they seek God’s purpose for them. With steps forward inevitably come setbacks, but keeping hope for what lies ahead is imperative as we continue towards where we’re meant to be.
Title track “Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly” brings us back to the basics of our faith and what God truly desires from us – to love & serve Him, care for others and do what we can to live in a way that reflects our Savior while we’re here on earth.
“As For Me”, featuring Chris Tomlin, gives glory and honor to our Heavenly Father as we praise God for His blessings and pledge our lives lived in devotion to Him.
“No Weapon” Reiterates the fact that nothing can separate us from the love and sheltering arms of God. He will never leave us alone as He gives us the strength to persevere & overcome any trial.
“To Have And To Hold” paints a picture of the kind of love story that God intended. When the foundation is firmly planted in faith, love can grow in the most beautiful ways.
“Canvas And Clay” is my personal favorite on the album as it acknowledges that God has created every single one of us for a purpose. He will take even what we feel are the most broken pieces and use them for His glory in the ultimate plan for us.
Also included are four music videos for the tracks “Heavenly”, “No Weapon”, “Lightning” & “Canvas And Clay”.
Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly is an album that has something for everyone on it. The musical arrangements with solid vocals give depth to the messages of the songs offering many moments of worship & reflection. A definite add to your playlists!
