In my latest interview on Kingdom Builder TV, I had the privilege of sitting down with Roy Tosh to talk about his new song, “Let It Be,” featuring the incredibly talented V. Rose. This track is more than just music—it’s a heartfelt cry for action, a call to step up where others won’t, and a reminder that faith should lead us into places of darkness to bring the light of Christ.

A Long-Awaited Collaboration That Hits Different

I haven’t been this excited for a Roy Tosh & V. Rose collaboration in a long time, and let me tell you—this one does not disappoint. Right from the start, the haunting sound of an organ sets the tone, perfectly complementing V. Rose’s soulful vocals. That intro alone gives the song a sense of urgency and weight before the beat drops and Roy Tosh delivers his signature smooth yet powerful flow.

Roy shared in our interview that this song comes from a deeply personal place. His desire is to be God’s hands and feet, going where others won’t and reaching the forgotten and broken. That’s exactly the message “Let It Be” carries. The lyrics echo a willingness to answer the call, even if no one else will.

Breaking Down the Lyrics & Meaning

The song opens with a heartfelt plea:

“Can you hear the cry, cries to be free
Oh it ain’t too much to ask to live, wouldn’t you agree?”

These lines immediately set the stage for the song’s theme—recognizing the pain in the world and feeling the burden to do something about it. V. Rose’s vocals bring a sense of longing, and you can feel the weight of those words.

Then, Roy Tosh jumps in with bars that hit home:

“Lord let it be me, let me see other people like you see me
Holy Spirit activate and make it easy
Send me to the prisoners I know that’s why You freed me”

This verse is a powerful declaration of purpose. Instead of staying comfortable, Roy is asking God to send him where he’s needed most—whether that’s to the broken, the forgotten, or the overlooked.

One of the standout moments for me is when he calls out the tendency to treat God like a genie, contrasting that mindset with his own mission-driven approach:

“Some people be treating God like a genie
Just know I’m out here on a mission when you meet me
If the Devil in my way hit em with the beep beep”

🔥 That’s a bar right there!

Final Thoughts: A New Favorite from a Super Talented Duo

By the time the song reaches its climax, you can’t help but feel inspired. The repeated chorus drives home the message: “If ain’t nobody else gon go, then let it be me.”

This is easily a new favorite from Roy Tosh & V. Rose. It’s got everything—deep lyrics, an unforgettable melody, and a challenge to live out our faith. If you haven’t heard Let It Be yet, make sure to check it out and watch my full interview with Roy Tosh on Kingdom Builder TV!
