Sidewalk Prophets Looking Up

The band, Sidewalk Prophets, is back with a new album, Looking Up. Releasing on Valentine’s Day, it is full of messages to encourage, edify, and uplift people. A few of the songs that caught my attention are below.
POWER OF A TENDER HEART begins with beautiful instrumental music. As it continues on, the lyrics are about rededication, renewal, restoration, and new beginnings. It is a cry to the Lord to take over, reminding us of how much we need Jesus in our days prompting us to ask the Lord to use us, heal us, and “make us movers and shakers for His kingdom”.
HURT PEOPLE, “hurt people… but love will heal our hearts.” People can be stinkers but God’s love is what heals us and helps us. Our love for one another can also bring healing.
LOOKING UP is about how life is hard, full of things that can push us to our knees, and make us start praying. When we get down to our lowest, so many of us finally start looking up, asking for help, and finding help. Hallelujah!!
FIRST LOVE is about us needing to get back to our first love.
