Bethel Music ‘Moments: Mighty Sound’

Recorded live at Bethel Church in Redding, California, Moments: Mighty Sound is a unique collection of some of the most well-known songs of the modern church combined with spontaneous praise and worship as the various worship leaders bring together the congregation gathered in one united voice lifting to God.

“Mighty Sound” is an extended chorus encouraging believers to sing out loud and strong to Jesus setting the tone for the rest of the tracks.

The extremely popular “Reckless Love” tells of being completely swept up by the incredible, merciful love of God as the song is stretched to capture the affect it has on those participating.

“Catch The Wind” empowers us to step out in faith and let God carry you on the wings of His goodness and grace. The lyrics expand upon the words of Isaiah 40:31 – “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

“Come To Me” acknowledges the Lord as our anchor, comfort and source of hope & peace Who welcomes us with arms wide open when we come running to Him.

“In Over My Head” admits to being pulled away from God, overwhelmed by poor choices or simply trying to do everything on our own until deciding to fully give up control. The tone of the song shifts to being called back to the Savior allowing our hearts, minds and lives to be consumed by Him instead.

“Cornerstone” finds its place here declaring a steadfast hope built upon the solid foundation of faith in Jesus and His power.

“Breathe Out Praise” brings this project to a fitting close as it allows for reflection while basking in the presence of the Holy Spirit and, as the chorus says, breathing out praise and inhaling His peace.

As alluded to, Moments: Mighty Sound is not your typical album with the lengthy tracks and additions of prayers/spontaneity. For some listeners, this type of record may get a little repetitive and long as it nears the two-hour mark, however, the goal was to capture what happens when believers come together in worship and the Spirit of the Lord guides their hearts without constraints of time. If you allow yourselves to be completely open and drawn in by the words being sung, you may find an even deeper connection to Christ and your relationship strengthened as you listen to the passionate performances.
