Chris Tomlin & Friends ‘Summer EP’

Following the success of last year’s Chris Tomlin & Friends collaboration album, Chris Tomlin returns with the Summer EP featuring three all-new tracks as well as two that were previously released on the full-length 2020 album. For this collection Chris is joined by several popular artists including Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett & Jimmie Allen.

“Good To Be Loved”, featuring Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, celebrates the ever-present love, mercy & faithfulness of our Heavenly Father that reaches beyond our human comprehension.

“Talk To Him”, featuring Russell Dickerson, reminds us that our prayers don’t have to be full of big words or poetic to reach God’s ears. We only need to talk to Him like we would if we were having a conversation with our best friend or cry out in the midst of our sorrow and He will listen.

“Love People”, featuring Jimmie Allen, tells of the universal language of love that can bridge the gaps of any divide we perceive between us and our fellow human beings. We are called to show the love of our Savior to those around us both through our words and actions.

Also found on the full-length Christ Tomlin & Friends album, “Thank You Lord” features Thomas Rhett & Florida Georgia Line gives praise & thanks for every gift God has given while “Sing” closes the project featuring Russell Dickerson & Florida Georgia Line.

There’s no doubt that these tracks speak hope & love into the lives of listeners. Some reading this may be a little unsure about these musical pairings, but one thing is certain, projects such as Chris Tomlin & Friends have the potential to reach a vast audience and spark curiosity or renewed faith in those who may not otherwise seek out Christian music.
