You may recognize Pat Barrett from the band Housefires or by his songwriting credits including the phenomenal “Good Good Father”. The Atlanta based singer/songwriter and worship leader has released his debut, self-titled EP with a full-length album expected later this year.

“The Way (New Horizon)” declares a bold faith and belief in Christ and His Word trusting Him with every aspect of your life through every season. When our focus is firmly set on Jesus, we will see His grace and mercy in more ways than we can imagine.

“Better” states that God and a relationship with Him is more important and ultimately better than any form of wealth, fame, physical beauty or whatever life on Earth can offer.

“Build My Life” praises God’s holy Name and is also a prayer to become more like Him as we build our lives around and solidify our trust in Him.

Closing the EP, “Sails”, featuring Steffany Gretzinger & Amanda Cook, is a song of surrender acknowledging that it can be difficult to be completely transparent and honest with anyone, even when we come to God in prayer. We can find peace in the fact that He already knows our deepest thoughts & has been with us through all of the highs and lows. In Him we have freedom from our past mistakes & anything that tries to weigh us down when we allow Him to be the wind in our sails, so to speak, and give Him control as He guides us on our journey.

With flowing melodies, solid vocals and well-written lyrics, Pat Barrett highlights God’s promises and faithfulness while offering heartfelt praise and worship. The 4-song EP is a great taste of what we have to look forward to from this talented artist.
