Singer/Songwriter and author Andrew Peterson follows the release of Resurrection Letters: Prologue earlier this year with Resurrection Letters Vol. 1. This album continues the story of Jesus’ death, resurrection and the profound affect of that which has echoed through history.

“His Heart Beats” picks up where the Prologue album left off as it triumphantly celebrates Jesus’ victory over the grave as He rose from the dead.

“Risen Indeed” parallels the message of Jesus’ resurrection and the newness of Spring. The words inspire listeners to look at the changing of seasons as a reminder of the work Jesus’ sacrifice accomplished washing away our sins and bringing the gift of new, everlasting life for all who believe in Him.

“I’ve Seen Too Much” tells of the disciples and how they set out to spread the Gospel to all nations and though they grow weary, they refuse to give in, remembering the miracles they’d witnessed with their own eyes; including seeing Jesus after He’d risen which gives them the drive and determination to carry on.

“Remember and Proclaim” describes the reason we celebrate Easter as we gather together to remember not only the cross but also the wondrous message of the living Savior who conquered death.

“Is He Worthy?” serves to remind listeners of the hope and power in Christ’s Name as it recognizes the current broken state of Creation and reaffirms the unending promises of God.

“All Things Together” closes the collection declaring the supremacy of Jesus as it expands upon the words found in Colossians 1:15-20 stating in part that Christ is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. With a solid foundation in Jesus, everything else will fall into place.

Though the title of this project is Resurrection Letters Vol 1, it is technically the third in a series that Andrew Peterson has released with Resurrection Letters Vol. 2 back in 2010 and the aforementioned Prologue in February 2018. Meant to be listened to in sequence, the three albums flow together as they beautifully capture the emotion, meaning and life-changing miracle of Christ.
