Zealand Worship, comprised of former Newsboys member Phil Joel along with Ben Bugna (drums), Ben Garrett (guitar) and Roger Angove (bass), share their hearts for Christ and passion for spreading the message of His love and grace with their latest release, Liberated.
“Spirit Sing” sets the tone for the album praising God’s majesty and the mighty works He has done.
Title track, “Liberated”, celebrates the freedom found in Christ as it encourages us to embrace His forgiveness and move forward.
“Center Of It All” finds someone choosing to dedicate their life to God and walk in His ways as they make their decisions with God as their focal point throughout every day.
“Deeper Water” declares a trust in where God will lead us, even when it takes us out of our comfort zones and into unknown territory. He promises to never leave us and we can lean on His love through it all.
“Land Of The Living”, gives thanks & praise to Jesus as it tells of the redeeming power of His Name and endless grace.
One of the songs that stood out the most to me is “Sanctuary”. The lyrics describe finding a safe haven in the arms of our Savior where we can have peace through the most difficult times in our lives.
“Garden’s On Fire” depicts the downfall that our world has experienced while still looking towards the hope of all creation being restored one day at the hand of the Lord.
From start to finish, Liberated, flows with heartfelt words and pleasant melodies drawing listeners into a time of worship with their Heavenly Father.
